The annual competition program is designed for players who want to reach their maximum tennis potential, as Pablo Carreño does today. The Academy offers a maximum number of places to ensure maximum quality and personalized treatment to each of the players who want to be part of the academy.

The Academy has a limited number of places in the annual competition program, because the training is very personalized. During the player’s stay, a training and competition plan is developed according to the age, level and objectives.

The total hours of weekly training is 33-38 hours, both tennis and physical and psychological preparation. He trains every day except Sundays and Saturday afternoons, rest days except for exceptions: Tournament and / or specific preparation of some.

The training model is the same as the likes of Pablo Carreño, or Roberto Carballés; and it has the Playsight technological system. The most innovative and complete tool in terms of track training with which all GrandSlam counts: game analysis, training by objectives, ranking …

The plan will be developed by our team, consisting of trainers, physical trainers, physiotherapists, doctors, nutritionists and psychologists. Our coaches are certified by the most prestigious organizations in the world and have many years of experience; led by Juan Carlos Ferrero and Antonio Martínez Cascales.

Study information

Those players who like to combine practices with studying at our facilities, we offer studies either in Spanish (E.S.O and bachelor) or in English (IGCSE and A-levels). Besides, our teaching staff could adapt to online studies systems as well as, support those students that require special needs in some subject.

The school is focused on offering a complete and specialized education, likewise flexible in order to encourage the players keep going with their studies at the same time they are growing as tennis players (attending tournaments etc). Also, the program is recommended for the players that would like to continue studying by getting a scholarship in USA and fulfill their athletic as well as academic goals.

About JC Ferrero Academy

JCFerrero-Equelite is recognised as one of the best tennis academies in the world. Accompanied by an excellent climate all year round, there are some magnificent installations situated strategically in order to facilitate the focus and concentration of tennis players.

A large number of technical staff work day-to-day in the complex. A full team with WTA & ATP experience will cover all the possible needs of a tennis player using a personal approach.

A significant number of our young players, dominate the national rankings in their respective categories, including international players such as Pablo Carreño-Busto (40ATP) o Nicola Kuhn (10ITFjunior).

While all this is marvellous, and we do consider ourselves to be the best in the field, it is true that other large academies also count on good facilities and trainers. So, why choose Equelite?

Equelite offers two things which no other academy in the world does and of which we feel extremely proud.

The first is that one of our first players to graduate from the academy, managed to reach world no1. Juan Carlos Ferrero not only lives in the academy and knows all the players on personal basis, he also supervises training sessions and schedules, and puts himself on court to help our players reach their goals.

The second is a family environment which has characterised the academy for over 25 years. We feel proud to present the academy as a great big family where players and staff live and learn together.

JC Ferrero Tennis Academy is located 5 minutes away from Villena and 30 minutes away from the Airport and beach of Alicante. The area of the Academy is 120.000m2, which is a perfect place for the players to achieve their goals. We provide all the best facilities for our players. Absolute advantage of the academy is an excellent weather throughout the year.
